Barefoot Brothers Construction, founded in 2004 by Winter Park developer Griff Jenkins and world champion Ron Scarpa, has become one of greater Orlando’s premier construction firms. Its award-winning projects and contractor services have earned recognition from the AIA and Urban Land Institute across the Greater Orlando area.
Meet The Team
Ron and Elisa Scarpa began their professional lives as world‑class barefoot waterskiers before transitioning into construction, bringing the same discipline and commitment to excellence to every project. Ron’s technical and structural focus pairs naturally with Elisa’s interior and client‑facing strengths, creating a balanced partnership in both life and business.
Ron is an IWSF and American Hall of Fame barefoot waterskier who moved from a decorated athletic career and marine product development into general contracting, project development, and real estate acquisition. A family background in design and construction helped shape his practical, detail‑oriented approach to building.
Originally from Italy, Elisa is a former professional barefoot waterskier and national champion. As office manager, interior specialist, and client liaison, she draws on her design‑oriented upbringing—her mother in interior design and her father in textiles—to create spaces that are cohesive, welcoming, and tailored to the way clients truly live.
